Dom Flemons is an African-American Traditional musician, known as “The American Songster.” A multi-instrumentalist, he plays guitar, banjo, quills, harmonica, and bones. He has hosted tribute shows to the legendary Lead Belly, performed at Carnegie Hall, New York City, Cecil Sharp House, London, and The Grand Ole Opry, in Nashville, Tennessee, plus many more on traditional Folk, Blues, Rock and Roll, and Old Time music. He was the founder of the original all-black string band Carolina Chocolate Drops and is a Grammy Award Winner for Traditional Folk Music. Dom remains dedicated to educating about Roots music and continues to stay true to the music that has shaped American culture.
