Sandro Mezzadra ist Politiktheoretiker und beschäftigt sich hauptsächlich mit dem Verhältnis von Globalisierung, Migration und Staatsbürgerschaft, außerdem mit postkolonialer Theorie und Kritik. Er lehrt politische Theorie an der Università di Bologna und ist Adjunct Fellow am Institue for Culture and Society der University of Western Sydney. Er hat unter anderem die Bücher In the Marxian Workshops. The Subject and its Production (2014), The Postcolonial Condition: History and Politics in the Global Present (2008) und The Right to Escape: Migration, Citizenship, Globalization (2006) verfasst. Gemeinsam mit Brett Neilson ist er Autor von Border as Method, or the Multiplication of Labor (2013).
