Mark Terkessidis is a freelance author working on (popular) culture, migration, racism and social change. He was editor of the journal Spex, moderator for WDR Funkhaus Europa, fellow at the Piet Zwart Instituut of the Willem de Kooning Akademie Rotterdam, and, since 2012, is lecturer at the University of St Gallen (HSG). Terkessidis has been published in Die Zeit, taz, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Freitag, Literaturen, Texte zur Kunst and other newspapers and journals. He also writes radio features for Westdeutscher Rundfunk and Deutschlandfunk. Along with Jochen Kühling he is project manager of Heimatlieder aus Deutschland heimatliederausdeutschland.de. He is the author of the books Interkultur (2010), Kollaboration (2015), and Nach der Flucht. Neue Vorschläge für die Einwanderungsgesellschaft (2017).
